Mrs. Mary Dopson, 83, died yesterday morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. P.L. Davis, 2623 Lionel St. following a long illness. Mrs. Dopson was a native of Baker County and the widow of Alvia Dopson. Besides Mrs. Davis, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. B. Frank Jones of Macclenny: five sons, Lonnie Dopson of Lake City, Leon Dopson of Sanderson, Herod Dopson of Macclenny, R.E. Dopson of Jacksonville, and John Dopson, also of Jacksonville; two brothers, James Harvey of Glen St. Mary, and John Harvey, of Tampa; five sisters, Mrs. Richard Davis, Mrs. Mattie Dugger, and Mrs. Eva Beasley, all of Macclenny, Mrs. Ethel Selph of St. Augustine and Mrs. Betty Burnsed of Winter Haven; twenty grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the grave side in Cedar Creek Cemetery north of Sanderson with the Rev. J.D. Williams officiating, assisted by the Rev. H.C. Tison. The body will rest at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Jones in Macclenny from 4 o'clock this afternoon until tomorrow at 1:45 when the funeral cortege will leave for the cemetery. The following grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Bob Dopson, Bill Dopson, Ray Dopson, Raymond Dopson, Tommy Dopson and Jack Davis. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of John M. Brinkley, Mortician, of Macclenny.
