Funeral services for Duval Selph, 83, who died at his home at St. Augustine, Saturday, were held at the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church Monday at 3 PM with elder Herman Moody, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Mr. Selph was a native of Wellborn, Suwannee County, and had been a resident of Macclenny and was elected Sheriff of Baker County, serving a short term in 1923, when he resigned. He was a retired employee of the Ponce De Leon Hotel, St. Augustine. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Harvey Selph, a native of Baker County, two daughters, Mrs. William R. Steinecke and Mrs. John Polick, two sons; Milton Selph, St. Augustine, Carl Selph, Miami, 6 grandchildren.
