Linda Roxanne Nichols, age 55, Joplin, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her residence after a sudden illness.

Linda was born August 10, 1961 in Lamar, Missouri to the late Orville James Skaggs and Juanita McConnell Skaggs and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.

She worked as a pre-school teacher; secretary at Neosho Savings and Loan; sales associate at Howsmon's Office Supply and an associate at Cardinal Scale in Webb City.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Elijah Hosp and Christian Kimble Daugherty, both of Joplin; one brother, Carl Skaggs, Joplin; a sister, Vickie Hulette, Joplin; and several extended family members, including three cousins, Mark Butterworth, Gary Dill, David Dill and an aunt, Lucille Butterworth.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Skaggs.

Linda has been taken for cremation. Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
