Mrs. Ruby Parrish Carroll, of 4012 Baymeadows Rd., died Wednesday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of Jacksonville, she was the fourth generation of her family born in Duval County. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and a member of Chapter 15, O.E.S. Survivors include her husband, John I. Carroll; 2 daughters, Mrs. Barbara Jo Davis and Miss Catherine Elizabeth Carroll; 3 sons, LaFay Eugene Carroll, Benny Andre Carroll and Michael Lory; a sister, Mrs. Lula Mae Durham; 3 brothers, Lonnie James Parrish, Jesse Lee Parrish, and Wayne Parrish; and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hendricks Ave. with Bishop Conrad Acosta officiating and Mr. Wilford W. Jordan speaking. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardage-Krauss Southside Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave.
