Uncle Mike was one of a kind. He was a great man. Uncle Mike loved the simple things in life. He loved going to Goodwill stores and yard sales. He loved old comedy shows like Andy Griffith and The Honeymooners. He and I would stay up for hours and watch Laurel and Hardy and WC Fields movies. He loved music and had at one time a huge record collection. He was the Beatles biggest fan. He played the guitar until arthritis set in and robbed him of it. He loved to collect things. He had a great knowledge of politics and baseball. The Dodgers was his favorite team.

Uncle Mike was a very patient teacher and taught me a lot of things as I grew up. He loved his family and friends and always had funny stories to tell. He had no trouble at all in making friends. He was very sociable. He was also very generous and always grateful.

Uncle Mike had a lot of health problems that caused him great pain and misery, yet the man loved to talk and recite old tv shows and had a great sense of humor. He loved life.

Uncle Mike never got married and had kids of his own, but he loved his nieces and nephews and they loved him.
