She was born in Hamilton County on Feb. 5, 1917, a daughter of Joseph and Jenkie (McMahon) Allen. She married Donald S. Allen, and he preceded her in death. She was an Avon representative for over 30 years.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Pastor Mike Glenn and Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Interment will follow at Enfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
Alice is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mr. Bobbie Allen of Dale, Mrs. Thelma Farris of Carmi and Mrs. Ruby Scarber of Farmington, N.M., and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, John F. Allen; and three sisters, Bonnie Allen, Faye Morris and Lillie Weedman.
