David Haverlah, age 63 of Poth, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

He was born October 8, 1959 in San Antonio, Texas to Gene Vernon Haverlah and Lucille Alma Lieke Haverlah Novak.

David graduated from Floresville High School in 1978, attended Texas Lutheran College, and went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State University. David began his professional career as a teacher, teaching at Poth ISD for 17 years, and then transitioned to a senior internal auditor for Zachry Group for 19 years.

He loved fishing, hunting, hiking, bird watching, and woodworking. What was most important to him was his faith and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Novak; and late wife, Cynthia Marshall Haverlah.

David is survived by his wife, Linda Dunn Haverlah; children, Megan Anderson and husband
Ryan, and Sarah Haverlah; grandchildren, Christian Platero Anderson, Josiah Anderson,
Jeremiah Anderson, Elizabeth Fraser and husband Billy, Rachel Joern and husband John, and
step granddaughters Emily, May & Molly Fraser; father, Gene Haverlah; siblings, Vernon
Charles Haverlah and wife Diana, Doug Haverlah and wife Heidi, Kathy Kolkhorst and husband
Gary, and James Haverlah and wife Helen; numerous nieces and nephews.
