Denton, Anthony Lee

Age 59, of Plainfield and formerly of Chicago, died suddenly, at his home Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Born in Denison, TX. November 15, 1948 to the late William H. and Laura Hiberd. He married Gisela Farber August 31, 1968 in Chicago.

Beloved husband of nearly 40 years to Gisela; Loving father of Richard (Dionne) Denton, Lisa (Jesse) Harper and Jeffrey (Lan Nguyen); Proud grandpa of William, Robert , Joline; Tony, David, Danny & Deven. He will also be missed by his faithful canine companions Schultz, Sandy, Cash and Pudge, as well as Smokey Joe the Cat.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Anthony was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in Viet-Nam, being honorably discharged upon his return October 14, 1971 to Scott Air Force Base. He was a retired Police Officer from the City of Chicago. He was a member of AF & AM, Braidwood Lodge and the Amateur Ham Radio Operators Club-Expert Class. He enjoyed skeet shooting and hunting with "the boys". Other interests include reading, movies, history, archaeology and geneaology.

Funeral services for Anthony Denton will be Friday, March 7, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to the Disabled American Veterans would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday from 3 - 9 p.m. at:
