Gracie Pearl (McGee) Lyell was born on February 28, 1912 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Medford Davidson McGee and Pearl Bonnie (Arnold) McGee.
She was married to Luther Lyell.
A baby sitter who was living at 934 Fatherland Street, Gracie was 54 years old and married when she died after accidentally falling off the Cumberland Street bridge on June 5, 1966 and was DOA at Nashville General Hospital. Burial was two days later in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
