TOMPKINSVILLE, TN. – Hugh Van Eaton Jr., age 63, of Tompkinsville, TN., died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, in Atlanta, Ga. He was in Atlanta attending the funeral of his aunt, Hazel D. Minor.
Born Feb. 7, 1944, in Birmingham, Ala., he was the son of retired pastor, Dr. Hugh Van Eaton Sr. and Cora Kathleen Minor Eaton of Atlanta, Ga.
He is survived by one sister, Patricia Eaton Hill and brother-in-law, Dr. H.C."Blue" Hill of Tompkinsville; nieces, Stacey Spears of Lone Pine, La., and Christy Campbell of Borger, Texas.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, La.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, Ga., with the Rev. Larry T. Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at A.S. Turner & Sons.
