U.S. Presidential Cabinet Secretary. She served as the 19th Secretary of Labor under President Ronald Reagan from December 14, 1987, to January 20, 1989. She received her B.A. from Fordham University and later earned her M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1973, she served as the press secretary for the inaugural concerts of President Richard M. Nixon's 2nd presidential inauguration. She went on to serve in several government posts before being appointed Secretary of Labor by President Reagan in December of 1987. She served in this cabinet position for the remainder of President Reagan's term, which ended in January 1989. Later, she served on the board of directors of various companies and also on political advisory boards.
