Born in Treutlen County, he lived most of his life in Barrow County. R.C. was a WWII Navy Veteran having served at Pearl Harbor. He was a life-long preacher and a self-employed contractor, who loved the Lord and praised the Lord until his last breath. When not working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and putting things together.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Davis Parten; son, Danny C. Parten; parents, H.H. Parten, Sr., and Fairy Georgia Parten; and brothers, Lamar Parten and Harry Parten.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Barrow Memorial Gardens, 793 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia. A visitation for family and friends will be at Smith Funeral Home, 755 Atlanta Hwy SE, Winder, Georgia, from noon until service time on Sunday, May 1.
