He lived with his family on Fredensgade in Copenhagen shortly before immigrating to the United States around 1890. Fred lived with his family in White City, Brevard County, Florida in 1900 and later moved to New York City. He married Rose Marie Strnad on April 8, 1911, in Manhattan, New York. They had one child during their marriage. He died on June 4, 1937, in Bronx, New York, at the age of 56, and was buried on the family plot in White City Cemetery, St. Lucie County, Florida.
