L. Corlin (*should be Corbin) of Cave Spring in the County of Greene and State of Missouri who is over the age of twenty-one years; and Dovie L. C. Shadwick (should be Chadwick) of Cave Spring, in the County of Greene and State of Missouri who is over the age of eighteen years.

also listed as Cindy Mary Magdeline (Chadwick) Corbin on her death record. Other records list a nickname of 'Dovie' which is a southern nickname also held by her Aunt Sarah Salley King Chadwick (wife of John Thomas Chadwick) from Newnan, Coweta, GA. I have seen other family trees list Dobie as a nickname and I've seen Catherine listed as a middle name. One would think her father, being the informant on this death record would have more accurate information to provide relating to her name.

She was 48yrs, 3 mos, 19 days old when she died in Springfield, Greene, MO. Her usual residence was 2138 N Benton.

She was married to Elmer L Corbin at time of death.

She was daughter of Drury Washington Chadwick of Cleveland, Bradley, Tennessee and Dorothy Fortner of Georgia.

She was wife of Elmer L Corbin

(Note: Lucinda 'Cinda' Chadwick's father Drury had a brother, Rev. John Thomas Chadwick, with whom he was separated from during the Civil War when their mother died & father was off fighting in the war effort. Drury was taken in by neighbors who eventually moved away from Cleveland, Bradley, TN & relocated in Georgia. Drury grew up separated from his natural family.

Rev. John Thomas Chadwick's (Drury's brother) relocated to Georgia & then Alabama & had a son, Joseph 'Clifford' Chadwick who moved from Georgia to Alabama to Missouri where he settled in Willard & Marshfield, estranged from his father. It's unclear if Clifford knew Drury was his Uncle living in the same area. The story is that his father, John Thomas & Uncle Drury Washington Chadwick were only reunited in old age when they were elderly men. The reunion included another brother, Rev. James Mattison Chadwick of Gadsden, AL. The two older brothers, both ministers of the gospel, eventually baptised their own younger brother, Drury. Anyway, Joseph Clifford Chadwick divorced first wife, Minnie Johns, in AL, came to MO, married Mary E. Mitchell, who died, leaving a dau. who was a toddler. Years later Clifford then married Jerlie Corbin, Elmer L Corbin's sister.

So Jerly/Jerlie Corbin, married Cinda's cousin, Joseph 'Clifford' Chadwick after Jerlie's first husband, David Snider, died which would make Jerlie a sister-in-law to Cinda & a cousin by marriage and Lucinda's cousin, Joseph Clifford Chadwick, became a brother-in-law by marriage)
