Son of the late Charles F & Marie (Lindenberg) Langley
Charles Bradford "Brad" Langley, PhD, age 71, died suddenly on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his home in Ellicott City, Maryland.
Brad retired in 2015 after an illustrious 32-year career with the Department of Defense. Brad did his undergraduate work at Dartmouth College and received his doctorate from Indiana University. Prior to his government service, he had been a professor of Chinese Studies at several colleges and universities. Brad was an avid traveler and student of history; he was the family genealogist and a prolific photographer, as his Facebook friends knew so well. He was a wise counsel and caring friend to a large group of extended family, friends, and colleagues. The New England Historic Genealogical Society, The Mayflower Society, and the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society of America have all lost a long-standing member.
The family will hold a celebration of Brad's life on September 23 in Columbia, MD.
