Daniel Robert Boone, age 80, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. He was born in Gatesville, Texas on May 20, 1927. Daniel was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army Aircorp. He worked as an engineer of Odex Oil and Gas; he operated Texas Super Crab Processing Company, and retired as a successful Commercial Real Estate Broker in Corpus Christi.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Granvel Boone and Hattie Mae Freeman Boone, a brother Lee Boone and three sisters Judy Boone, Martha Amanda Worsham, and Dorothy Mae Grounds. He is survived by his wife of over forty years Donna Fox Boone; five sons Daniel Robert (Patsy) Boone IV, James Nathan Boone, John Daniel (Terri) Boone, Justin Lee (Mandy) Boone, and Timothy Alan Boone all of Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters Jo Ann Boone of Arizona, Sandy Woods of Florida and Darla Pfliger of Atlanta, Georgia. Also surviving are his in laws, Rev. J. J. Fox and Eldah Ruth Fox; two sisters Hattie Fox and Alice Way, 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation, prayer and funeral services were held Feb. 7 & 8 at The Alter of Prayer Church, Corpus Christi, TX. A graveside service was held on Feb. 12 at The Seaton Cemetery in Leon Junction, Texas.
