Mrs. Frances Clementine Davis Lawhorn was born on Friday, November 4, 1938, in Gilmer, Texas. She passed this life on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Tyler, Texas. Clementine was one of seven children born to the marriage of Jack and Linnie Laveda Lansdale Davis. She was raised and began schools in Karnack. She graduated from Carthage High School with the Bulldog class of 1957. Clementine married her love, Roy Wendell Lawhorn February 23, 1957, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage and two daughters.

Mrs. Lawhorn was a talented seamstress to her family and community. She was a longtime member of the Carthage Missionary Baptist Church, active in the ladies Auxiliary, VBS, and served as the church clerk. Clementine was a strong, giving woman devoted to her Lord and family above all else.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Carl Kenneth Davis, Jacqueline "Sis" Meek, Fred Davis, Terry Keith Davis, and David Davis; great grandchildren, Logan Miller, and Maylee Lawhorn; a nephew, Keith McIlwain; and great nephew, Brandon Seegers.

Mrs. Lawhorn is survived by her loving daughters, her sister and sisters-in-law, her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, a host of friends and her beloved dog, Brewster.
