William (Bill) Treasure, 81, of McCammon, died Saturday May 17, 1975, in Marsh Valley Hospital in Downey after an illness.

Bill was born July 19, 1893 in Marsh Center, a son of James and Ada Jane Wakley Treasure. He married Romania Green in Pocatello, October 2, 1915.

Bill lived all of his life in Marsh Valley were he was a farmer and rancher. He was a well known horseman of the area and was the first to bring horses of the Appaloosa breed to McCammon. He enjoyed working with horses and was always willing and anxious to teach young friends to ride and to handle horses. He was famous for his well dressed horses and was in parades in McCammon each year.

Bill Treasure was a member of the McCammon First Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving are his widow and two sons, Dave D of McCammon, and William Gene of Bancroft; three daughters, Virginia Smith of Lake Oswego, Oregon, June (George) Frugoli, of Pocatello, Gwen (Dan) Campanella of Cincinnati, Ohio, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and two brothers, Dave of Malad and John of Downey.

Burial was in the Norton Cemetery.
