This memorial was originally created by Thomas S. Mangimelli and was stolen by a grave weirdo named franzjr. About Mr. Iverson. He was cashier at Exchange Bank for 25 years. In 1934 he was forced to ride on the running board of the robber's getaway car. Edward was badly clubbed in the head by one of the robbers who was mad because Ed told him he could not open a time lock on one of the vaults. Because of his dazed state he fell off the speeding car when it turned south at 20th & Main. He was in the hospital for several weeks. He was a handsome man, but he went to his grave with the scar he received that day still on his forehead. He did many great things for the community as county commissioner, county clerk, and state representative. A great man lies here.
