Herbert "Herb" Ray Ahern passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 78. Herb was born on July 22, 1943, in Waco, Texas, to Guy Herbert Ahern and Ruby Cook.
On July 13, 1962, Herb married Barbara Jean Kyle. They were married for 60 years. They were blessed with daughters, Melinda and Sheri, and two sons Kevin and an infant son Herbert.
Herbert attended Connally High School and Mountainview College in Dallas. Herb worked as a Field Service Manager for Munters Corporation and owned his own business in Stephenville. Herb enlisted in the U.S. Army in July 1961 and served through July 1964.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son Herbert. Survivors include his children Melinda & husband Michael, Sheri, and husband James; and Kevin and wife Whitney; Grandchildren, Derrick, Christy, Mason, Sommer, Daniel, Justin, Ashley, Chelsea; Lauren & Logan; Great Grand Children Rachel and Robert, Jaxon, Emma, and Ryker, Brothers, William Pharo, Brian Ahern, Gary Ahern.
Herb loved spending time at the lake, river, or pond with a fishing pole in hand., His children, grandchildren, family, and friends all have special memories of fishing with Herbert, Herb, Papa Herbie, or Papa.
