James was a member of Grace Tabernacle Church and was known for his love of boating and fishing as well as being somewhat of a history buff with a large knife collection. He loved living the simple life and volunteered his time building houses, and working at food pantries. He always put others first and was a humble, patient and funny guy.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Dollander of Evans, GA; Nephew Michael Rose of Aiken, SC; 4 grandchildren Audrey Marroquin, Keegan Osburn, Miranda and Brady King and his 2 great-grandchildren; Violet and Luna.
