Theresa Ann Curtis, age 75, of Brookfield, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2020, at McLarney Manor in Brookfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Brookfield with Fr. Kelechi Uzuegbu officiating. Burial will be in St. Columban Catholic Cemetery in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, St. Labre Indian School, Mariannhill Fathers or Columban Fathers and may be left at the church or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, MO 64628.

Theresa Ann Curtis was born at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe on July 10, 1945. She was the daughter of Ashbill Samuel Curtis and Anna Jane Wilma (Posch) Curtis.

Ms. Curtis attended grade school in Meadville and Immaculate Conception School in Brookfield. She graduated from Brookfield High School in 1963.

Theresa volunteered at St. Francis Hospital and McLarney Manor. She was active in Legion of Mary, Co-disciples of St. Francis, Alter Society of Immaculate Conception and MMP. She helped teach pre-school and also baby sat and cared for her nieces and nephews. Theresa was also active in 4-H club and was a huge animal lover.

She is survived by a sister, Marjorie Louise Carter of Lincoln Nebraska; two brothers, Arthur Robert Curtis and wife, Nattie of Tracy, California and Patrick Samuel Curtis of St. Joseph; and an adopted sister, Marie Flores of Tracy, California.

Theresa was preceded in death by her grandparents and John Hahsler; her parents, Sam and Wilma Curtis; brother, Joseph Raymond Curtis; adopted brother, Gary Engberg; great nephew, Carter Wynne Sego; sister-in-law, Barbara Curtis; brother-in-law, Gary Rodgers Carter; and many aunts and uncles.
