Benton W. Robberson, 73, of 1503 Vogt Dr., died at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in a Victoria hospital following a long illness. Mr. Robberson was born April 27. 1899 in Oklahoma and had been a resident of Beeville prior to moving to Victoria in 1951. He was retired. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from Colonial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J. V. Helms, pastor of Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Pallbearers will be Gene King, Lloyd Flowers, Noble Haywood, Walter Giesalhart, Robert Leonard and Lawrence Arnold. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Jewel Robberson of Victoria; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Faye Kirby of Victoria and Mrs. Ruby Nell Hays of Houston; two sons, LeRoy and Clinton Robberson both of Victoria; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Tribel of Port Arthur, Mrs. Pearl Tawater of Houston and Mrs. Viola McDonald of California; a brother, Alvin Robberson of New York and eight grandchildren.
