Donna Sloan, 79, of Atchison, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at the Atchison Medicalodge.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Eighth and Laramie streets, with the Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Atchison. A visitation was from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.

Donna was born Aug. 31, 1928, in St. Joseph, Mo., the daughter of Daniel Ketchum and Clara Virginia (Guthrie) Maxwell. She had worked for the Atchison County Engineers as a secretary, retiring in 1991.
Donna was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Atchison VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Sloan enjoyed reading, watching TV and had bowled in the past.
Donna and Charles L. Trautloff Sr. were married in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1966. Donna and John S. Sloan II were then married on Aug. 12, 1969, in Miami, Okla. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2007.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Buddy Maxwell; two sisters, Wilford Cress Garrison and Ellen Lee Hawk; and a nephew, Jeff Schmidt.
Survivors include a son, Charles Trautloff Jr., Atchison; a daughter, Kathleen Obermeyer, Atchison; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two nephews, Robert and Terry Schmidt.
