(1) Eva Dew (his cousin), born October 4, 1834, with whom he had four children: Carlton Franklin Dew, Samuel Lawrence Dew, Joseph W. Dew and Lillie Ann Dew
(2) Almarinda Ackerson Dew, with whom he had one child: John Harding Dew.
(3) Louisa Jane Littlejohn, born about 1841 to Abraham Littlejohn(1817-1848)#62843571 and Margaret Jane Littlejohn (cousin)(1817-1885)#62768371 her mother remarried in 1854 to John Bloomfield(1807-1876)#62768349. Charles was her 2nd husband. Her 1st husband married 12 August 1858 in Fulton ,Ill., was Eli Sheilds (1837-1862)he died in Georgia during the civil war. She married Charles E Dew the 11 April 1870 Fulton, Illinois. Her 3rd husband married 1 January 1874, Fulton, Illinois was Solomon Sill(1831-1876)#64871305 buried with his 1st wife Marie Holt. All marriages gotten Illinois Marriage Records on ancestry. Louisa after her 3rd husband died went West in 1885 they were in Kansas. 1889 they were in Whitman, Washington Territorial Census. Louisa Jane was never in Tennessee.
