Herman Kahn, father of Congressman Julius Kahn, died at the home of his son, Berthold, 1338 Haight street, on Monday afternoon at the age of 74 years. Mr. Kahn was an old and well-known resident of this city, having come here in 1866. He was known as one of the most popular men in business circles, his good character and strict integrity having won for him many friends. His children were at his bedside when death came, having been with him constantly during his illness. The funeral services will be held at his late residence and the remains interred in Home of Peace Cemetery. Six sons and one daughter survive him.
