Virginia Bowen, 86, of Knox City, Texas passed away, Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Willow Cemetery, Haskell. A visitation is scheduled from 5:00-6:00PM, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the funeral home, 304 N. 2nd, Haskell.

Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Virginia was born September 7, 1935, in Decatur, Texas to Katie (Holly) Wilson and B. D. Kirkland, Sr.

She married David Bowen on October 25, 1991 in Tyrone, Oklahoma.

Virginia loved dancing and listening to her stereo.

She is survived by two sons, David and Bobby Stiewert, both of Knox City; son-in-law, Joe Stewart of Rochester; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Myrle Andress of Haskell; and brother B. D. Kirkland, Jr. of Weatherford.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Katie Wilson; father, B. D. Kirkland, Sr.; husband, David Bowen; daughter, Lila Stewart; two brothers, Charles and Frank Kirkland; and two sisters, Billie Jean Tatum and Cloy Kessee.
