Floyd W. Lance, 89, of Fremont, passed away at Countryside Continuing Care Center in Fremont, OH on Monday, February 14, 2022. He was born on September 20. 1932 in Fremont, Floyd was the son of Raymond and Johanna Cecelia (Bauer) Lance. Floyd attended St. Joseph Catholic High School.

Floyd served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked for the Federal Government at Erie Ordinance Proving Ground in Port Clinton, OH, and Jefferson Proving Ground, Madison, IN, where he retired in 1987 after 33 years of employment. Floyd was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a life member of the American Legion in Fremont. In his younger years, Floyd enjoyed fishing and going out dancing.

Floyd is survived by his brother, Walter Lance, Fremont, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Roselin, Betty Lou, Irvin, Henry, James, Vivian, and Robert, and twin siblings, Raymond and Raydeen.

Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 709 Croghan St., Fremont, OH 43420.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow visitation at 10:00 a.m.at the church with Fr. John Missler officiating.

Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the VFW and American Legion.

A memorial can be made in Floyd's honor to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
