Mrs. LOU IDA (PAINTER) LILLEY was the daughter and one of six children born to James M. Painter and Mrs. Annie Lorena (Caldwell) Painter.

Her known siblings were George M. Painter, Mattie Grace Painter and William "Add" Addison Painter.

She was the wife of Roy Frank Lilley whom she wed on September 23, 1918 in El Paso, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death.

Obituary
"Mrs. Lou Painter Lilley, 77, a native of Dublin, Texas, who came to McNary in 1928 from El Paso and to Phoenix in 1949, died Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital. Survivors of Mrs. Lilley, of 1527 West Mulberry, include two daughters, Mrs. John P. Cody, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mrs. Janie L. Ralston, of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, in New Mexico; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. at A.L. Moore & Sons Mortuary, 333 West Adams, Phoenix, Arizona. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery."
