Barbara Jean Allen, 88, of Mayflower went to be with her savior on January 2, 2022. She was born on March 24, 1933, in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Abram and Lena (Hyde) Bloomhuff.

Barbara spent most of her career in the health care field at White County Hospital in Physical Therapy. She later retired from Wal-Mart Pharmacy and then became a volunteer. Barbara loved camping, fishing, traveling, but what she treasured most was her time with family. She also loved spoiling her grandchildren. Barbara loved the Lord and her church family as well. She was a Christian and a true prayer warrior we could always count on.

Left to cherish her memory is one daughter; Glenna Barlow, one stepson; David Allen, stepdaughter; Judy Covington, daughter-in-law; Dawn Cox, four grandchildren; Emily Ferguson (Joey), Sam Morris (Jessica), Zachary Cox (Tabitha), and Brad Cox (Tonya), ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 30 plus years; Billy D. Allen, one son; Allen Cox, three sisters; Luella Bloomhuff, Helen Howard, and Mary Moore.

Funeral services will start at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in the Searcy McEuen Chapel with burial following at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy.
