Mrs. Sophia C. Klemish Dies at Home in Anita
Mrs. Sophia C. Klemish, an old resident of this county, died Tuesday morning at her home in Anita.
Mrs. Klemish was born near Davenport, April 4, 1859. In October, 1878, she was married to Thomas Klemish, whose home was in Scott county. Soon after their marriage they moved to a farm in Audubon township, where they lived many years. They resided eight years in Omaha, after which they returned to the farm. Following the death ofher husband, eight years ago, she moved to Anita.
Five children are left to mourn. They are Joseph and Edward Klemish of Audubon county; Frank Klemish of near Anita; Mrs. W. H. Baylor of Regina, Canada, and Miss Martha Klemish, who lived with her mother. There are also seven grand-children; a brother, Herman Staffenbeal of Victor, la., and a sister Mrs. Pauline Henick of Audubon county.
