Maternal grandfather of the poet John Keats. Keats is named for him. He owned and ran the Swan and Hoop Inn and Livery where he employed Thomas Keats (Keast). Thomas married John Jennings' daughter Frances in 1794.

When the plot was sold, the remains of all the people buried in its grounds were transferred to Brookwood Cemetery, Woking, Surrey.
