age of 90. Deeply loved mother of Richard Adams (Luz), Carolyn Adams, Paul
Adams and the late Christopher Adams. Cherished grandmother of Tim, Viviana, Johana and the late Patrick, and great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Jim, Gordon, Melvin and Mildred. Joan will also be
missed by many other family members and very dear friends. Joan was a devout Christian. Following a career as a teacher, she discerned the call of God to a
vocation in ministry. She heeded that call and returned to school, this time as a
mature student. In 1988, Joan was ordained as a minister in the United Church
of Canada. She served at several churches in Ontario, including Streetsville United, Stamford United and Trinity United Church in Grimsby. Joan had a great love
and gift for pastoral care, and took every opportunity to reach out to those in need.
She touched the lives of so many, sharing God's love whenever possible with those around her. Special thanks to all of those who took such good care of Mom in her illness. You were a great blessing to her in her time of need.
A private family service and interment at Queen's Lawn Cemetery have taken place.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
