Janice Louise Barron, 79, of Clyde died Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Sabanno Cemetery in Eastland County.
Jan was born November 27, 1941 in Brownwood to J.R. and Gladys Geraldine (Scott) Barron. She graduated from Clyde High School and later attended real estate school in Austin. She married Rod Roberts in Clyde in 1963 and worked as a real estate broker for many years. After her first marriage ended, she later married Don Pitts in Fort Worth in 1990. Jan was a member of the Cowboy Heritage Church, DRT (Daughters of the Republic of Texas) and the Mountain Trails Writers of Alpine.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Roberts Dela Rosa of Haltom City and Julie Roberts Forbing and husband Jerry of Lockhart; seven grandchildren, Clarissa Schaefer and husband Ricky, Adriana Dela Rosa and husband German, Erika Dela Rosa and husband Blaine, Trey Forbing, Michelle Forbing Hart and husband Dillon, Amberly Kemp Cross and husband Kyle and Olivia Kamp; three great grandchildren, Madison Forbing, Eli Cross and Santiago Olalde; nephews, Brad Barron and wife Alice of Abilene and Jason Barron and wife Ronda of Cross Plains; niece, Laurie Halpin and husband Danny of Savannah, Georgia; great nieces and nephews, Cayla, Coltyn, Chance and wife Paris, Erika, Elizabeth and Gabriel; great-great nephew, Kayson; former son-in-law, Ruben Dela Rosa and special friends, James and Diane Siegler of Wichita Falls.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Rod Roberts, her husband, Don Pitts, her daughter, Mary Pitts Kamp and her brother, Ray Barron.
