Philip Bennett Gowen, 64, was welcomed home by his Father in heaven on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Phil was well loved and he loved well. He loved God, his family and his friends. His love for God encompassed a great love for the Bible, Biblical truth and the need for Biblical literacy. His love for his family and friends included not only words and actions but also prayers on their behalf especially for all to know Jesus as Savior and Lord.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth K. Gowen, Jr. Phil is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Locke Gowen and his 9-year-old son, Ryan, whom he adored. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Gowen, his brothers Kenny (Susie) and Tim (Michelle), his nephews Kent, Greg (Tracy) and Gray, his niece Gracie & great-nephew Carter. He also leaves extended family of cousins and aunts and in-laws. Phil also had many friends that he considered extended family. He loved us well.
