Mount Holly - Charles Steven Lyman, 74, Mt. Holly passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born January 3, 1947, to the late Charles Zero Lyman and Maybell Flowers Lyman of Spencer Mountain, both preceded him in death. He retired from Clariant/Sandoz of Mt. Holly, NC and Carolina Power Equipment of Stanley, NC. "Steve" was a member of Tuckaseege Baptist Church Mt. Holly. He was an avid sports fan and Atlanta Braves fan. He loved fishing, hunting, and baseball. His family was the apple of his eye and his grandchildren were his world. He is preceded in death by his brother Terry Lyman, sisters Doris Lyman Costner and Diane Lyman Ledford. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Rebecca Roseberry Lyman, son Paul Lyman (Sebrina) Conway, SC; daughter Stephanie Lyman Webb (Jeremy) Mt. Holly, NC; stepdaughter Louetta Carpenter Belmont, NC; Lisa Ottinger (Phillip) Chandler, AZ; grandchildren Steven Lyman, Logan McGuirt, Braden McGuirt, Grayson Webb; step-grandchildren Michael Medlin, Colan Medlin (Heather), Caleb Medlin, Cora O'Keefe (Josh), and Alyssa Carpenter. The family will greet guests from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2021 at Tuckaseege Baptist Church, 511 Tuckaseege Road, Mount Holly. A service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 2:00 p.m., also at the church. Interment will conclude at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
