Donald Richard Yale age 93 of Brockport, PA; passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021 at his residence.

Born on June 21, 1928 in Brockway, PA; he was the son of the late Charles and Myrtle Duttry Yale.

He was married to C. June Carlson, and she preceded him in death on November 24, 2020.

Retired, Don was employed at O-I Brockway Glass as a Machinist. He was a WWII U. S. Navy Veteran serving on the USS Proteus as a Fireman First Class. Don was Protestant by faith by attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Brockway. He was a member of the Horton Twp. Sportsmen's Club, the Horton Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion and a life long member of the NRA. In his younger years Don was very athletic. He was an Elk County Strider, and always enjoyed participating in the Brockway's 4th of July Bike race, the 5K race as well as in other marathon/race runs in the surrounding areas. He also enjoyed playing softball, mountain biking and cross country skiing. He also enjoyed racing and participated at the Hummingbird Speedway in his car the "D1" for a few years. Always being an optimistic gentleman, he woke up each morning saying "What a beautiful day!" no matter what the weather was outside. He was a kind and thoughtful person and would help anyone in need. Don was also and avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed gardening and took the Master Gardner Course at Penn State at 87 years young. He planted and raised his own blueberries and raspberries along with other farm fresh foods. He enjoyed life and loved his family very much.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Donna (Bill) Wineberg; Karen (John) Barber; 3 grandchildren: Jeremy (Alison) Wineberg; Jennifer (Jim) Shunk; Jessica Kennelley; 4 step-grandchildren: MaryAnn Barber; Suzanne (Ed) Hynds; David Barber, Joseph Barber; 7 great grandchildren: Abigail Shunk, Malachi Wineberg, Caleb Shunk, Lillian Shunk, Lucille Wineberg, Silas Wineberg, and Awnan Kennelley; 3 step great grandchildren: Angelina Boleen, Maria Hynds and Jason Hynds.

In addition to his parents and his wife he is also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Betty Lou and Velma as well as by 4 brothers: Robert, Edward, Jack and and infant brother Oran Paul.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery, Dubois, Pa.
