Marcia Mildred "Middie" Adams, 90, formerly of Potter, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Potter Community Church here with the Revs. John Youngblood and Walter Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Atchison.

Mrs. Adams died Monday, July 29, 1991, at Jefferson County Memorial Geriatric Center in Winchester.

She was born April 6, 1901, in Princeton, Minn., the daughter of Willis and Marcia Albee Jones. She attended grade school in Princeton, Minn., high school in Bethany, Neb., and graduated from Cotner College in Bethany, Neb., with bachelor's and master's degrees in music, English and social sciences.

Mrs. Adams was a teacher and principal of Potter High School and taught for 41 years in the Atchison and Leavenworth county school systems. She retired in 1971. She was a member of the National Teachers Assn. and was a charter member of the Potter Community Church, where she was the organist, pianist and choir director for several years.

She married Jack Adams on Oct. 18, 1928, in Bethany, Neb. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, John S., Lawrence; two daughters, Cheril Hefner, Atchison, and Marcia Kimmel, Leavenworth; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
