Therese Mary Hennessey, of Corpus Christi passed away September 5, 2001 after a short illness. She was the daughter of Martin Francis Hennessey, Sr. and Eva Nevada Kelly Hennessey. Therese was born August 30, 1930 in Tucson, Arizona. She attended St. Gerard's Grade School and High School in San Antonio, Texas. She was a student at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio and received a diploma from the Institute for Certifying Secretaries in 1971 as Certified Professional Secretary. Therese was a legal secretary for the Law Firm of John W. Hennessey; co-owner of Everhart Professional Building and Secretary for First Title Company of Corpus Christi, Inc. Among her accomplishments, Therese was a secretary for Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company Mutual of New York where she learned the insurance business. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, and a brother, Patrick Michael who passed away July 5, 2000 in Metairie, Louisiana. She is survived by her three brothers, Martin F. (Myrtle) Hennessey, Jr. of Victoria, Texas, John W. Hennessey of Corpus Christi, and Thomas Edgar (Rosemary) Hennessey of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Brenda D'A Hennessey of Metairie, Louisiana. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin Friday, September 7, 2001 at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited that evening. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, September 8, 2001 at Seaside Memorial Park.
