Jan attended and graduated from Blanket High School and married Butler Damron, Jr., in 1943. They became parents to a daughter, Janice Mayree, and son, Jerry Dean, and operated a dairy farm in the Blanket Community. Junior passed away in December 1956.
In December 1960, Jan married F H (Dick) Carlisle and became step-mom to Carolyn Kay and Ovea Lea. They continued living on and operating the dairy for many years.
Jan was pianist for Bethel Baptist Church for over 50 years being very active in her community and the Antioch quilting club. She was then a member of First Baptist Church Comanche for over 25 years. She loved to play dominoes with friends and family, and was an excellent seamstress. She made quilts for all of her kids, grandkids, great grandkids as well as many other friends and family members. Her family was her life and she loved watching her family at whatever they were involved in and was still going to ballgames well into her 80s & 90s. Jan was a very caring, loving, and giving lady who loved the Lord and lived every day as an example to others.
Preceding her in death along with Junior, were her second husband, Dick Carlisle, her parents, Rea & Fenley Williford, her brother Leroy Williford, step-daughter & family, John, Ovea & Bubba White along with numerous extended families.
