MONTGOMERY—Joseph Wayne Thomas passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was a faithful member of Dalraida Baptist Church for over 60 years and as an accomplished pianist he played for the church for over fifty years. He was a cherished friend to many through the years, a loving husband, father, son, brother.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Laura Olivia Capps, and parents, Benjamin F. Thomas and Hazel Wilhoit Thomas; loving survivors include his son, Steve Thomas (Susan); daughter, Terri McLemore (Chuck); grandchildren, Ben Thomas (Abbey), Julie Beth Parish (Josh), Laura Williams (Cory), Connor McLemore (Moriah); great-grandchildren, Lou Thomas, Harmony Williams.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Dalraida Baptist Church with a service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Rick Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dalraida Baptist Church.
