Bob was adopted at the age of four by John and Alice Hodgson in Sayre, Oklahoma. After graduating from Hugh School Bob joined the Army on August 31,1962, where he served two tours in Korea, two tours in Germany and one tour in Turkey. His stateside assignments were all at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, except for basic and ART at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While on active duty he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He retired from the services on May 1, 1985, and worked as an over the road truck driver for 10 years before serving as a Safety Manager for another 10 years. Bob loved to hunt, fish, and play golf.
He was preceded in death by both sets of parents, 2 sons, Shawn and Christopher, three sisters and six brothers.
Bob is survived by his wife, Cordelia (Dee) Hodgson of the home; six daughters and their spouses, Mervia Woods, of Hugo, OK, Rita Lehmann of Colorado Springs, CO, LeAnn Willson of Paris, TX, LaCresha Forbus of Ft. Towson, OK, Meredith Rauh of Longdale, OK and Dreama James of Ft. Towson, OK; 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, Oklahoma, with Brent Coffey officiating; burial will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.
