Delores Irene (Wheeler) Overturf 78, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on April 3, 2021.

She was born at WCA Hospital in 1943. Delores was proceeded in death by her husband of 54 Years, Gordon Lyle Overturf who passed in July of 2016 and daughter Laura Lynn at birth in 1968. Gordon and Delores were married in Virginia on October 13th, 1962. She was the daughter of Charles and Alice Anna Wheeler where they resided on Camp Street in Jamestown during her younger years. Delores attended RR Rogers, Jefferson Middle School and she graduated from Jamestown High School in 1961.

She leaves behind her beloved, spoiled Dog Chester that was always by her and her Husband's side. Four children: Ronda L. Overturf (John Springer) of Falconer, Charles Overturf (OT) and (Robin Baxter) of Frewsburg, NY, Gordon L. Overturf and (Jenn) of Falconer, NY and Alice Overturf (Michael Short) of Kennedy, NY. Three sisters Janet Wheeler of Arizona, Pauline Sheets of Florida, Barbara Manning of Florida and one brother, Ronald Wheeler of Nevada.

Besides being a full-time dedicated mother and loving wife, she helped her husband Gordon run their Texaco station in Kennedy, NY in the mid 60's, she was then employed by Jamestown General Hospital, Pace's Pizza, Big N, Spencer's and Vincent's Diner. Delores and Gordon successfully owned and operated Dee's Snowplowing for 40+ years. She then retired in December of 2018 after 14 years with Lutheran Social Services.

Delores was her kids and grandkids biggest fan as she always attended every sporting event that she could. She has 13 grandchildren: Chad and (Megan) VanOrd, Cayla and (Jeramy) Eckman, Curtis and (Emma) VanOrd, Sarah Overturf, Shelby Overturf, Gregory Overturf, Felicia Keeler, Dakota, Dominic and Donovan Delaney and Jayde Short, Tyler Crick, Cathy Lilienthal-Sleggs. 10 great grandkids Jon and Jemma VanOrd, Autumn Eckman, Tavyn Overturf, Morgan Overturf, Olivia and Aubreigh Coone, McKenzie, Ella, Ava Keeler, Corin Wilcox, Carter Constantine and another grandson that will be arriving in June that she was looking forward to.

Delores would like to send a special recognition for longtime friendships to Shelly Quackenbush and Mary Knepshield. In addition to, Ken and Carrie Blitz, Tim, Jan and Randy Miller, the Walker family all of which were like family to Delores who previously resided on Sprague Hill for the majority of her life.
Friends and family will be received on Monday April 5th, 2021 from 2-4:00PM and 6-8:00PM in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 6th 2021 in the Falconer Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Rumfelt, Chaplain of Lutheran will officiate. Burial will be in Gerry Hill Cemetery.
