Born July 1, 1931, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Dennis B. and Florence E. (Reinard) Christian.
On July 16, 1955, he married Shirley A. (Gustafson) Christian in DuBois. She preceded him in death on June 27, 2015.
Bob served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Flagg Steel in 1993. Bob attended First Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading the Bible, and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by two children, Shirley Mae Christian, DuBois, and Nathan Christian, Monroeville; two grandchildren, Chandler and Jacob Christian; a brother, Dennis Christian, DuBois, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bob was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Christian, a brother, Wayne Christian, and three sisters, Maxine Kalgren, Helen Walburn, and Dorothy Berkey.
Friends and family will be received Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will be held from the funeral chapel at 12 p.m. with Rev. Mark Montgomery officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 197 Eastern Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
