MONTGOMERY—Laura Olivia Capps Thomas passed away at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 24, 2021. She enjoyed traveling and was a cherished friend to many through the years. A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and faithful member of Dalraida Baptist Church for over 60 years, she taught Sunday School and served others. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde & Charlie Capps; and sisters, Joyce Brock, Cavell Reynolds. Loving survivors include her devoted husband of 67 years, Joe W. Thomas; son, Steve Thomas (Susan); daughter, Terri McLemore (Chuck); grandchildren, Ben Thomas (Abbey), Julie Beth Parish (Josh), Laura Williams (Cory), Connor McLemore (Moriah); great-grandchildren, Lou Thomas, Harmony Williams. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Dalraida Baptist Church with service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Rick Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dalraida Baptist Church.
