JOHN ROBERT BRANNON, age 78, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Elk River Health and Rehab of Winchester following an extended illness. Mr. Brannon was born in New Market, Ala., on January 10, 1943, to the late Luther Brannon and Susie Pauline Brannon. He was a member of the Broadview Baptist Church in Winchester. Mr. Brannon a farmer and also was employed as a Welder during his working years. When he was younger he enjoyed fishing with his wife. Mr. Brannon was an Avid Nascar Fan. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee and was often seen with a cup in his hand. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brannon was preceded in death by his son, John Arlyn Brannon. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brannon of Estill Springs, daughter, Greta Edwards also of Estill Springs, son, Jeff Brannon of Elora, Tenn., 7-grandchildren and 9-great-grandchildren. Brothers; Jimmy Brannon and wife, Kristy of Elora, Tenn., Charles Brannon and wife, Joann Brannon of the Shady Grove Community in Flintville and Ronnie Brannon of Elora, Tenn.
Services for Mr. Brannon will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 22, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Charles Houston, officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. prior to Service time at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services.
Interment will follow services at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
