Services for Mrs. Cora Watkins, 63, of 318 Meyers Grand Prairie were held Monday morning at Southland Chapel with Rev. Morrison officiating. Graveside services were held that afternoon in Restland Cemetery, Roxton, Texas.
Mrs. Watkins died Saturday in a Dallas Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Paris, Texas, lived in Cooper for most of her life, and had been a Grand Prairie resident for the past 21 years. She was a member of the Evangel Temple church in Grand Prairie.
She is survived by four sons, John W. Watkins of Irving, A. T. Watkins of Dallas, Benny Watkins of Grand Prairie, and Larry M. Watkins of Cheyenne, Wyoming; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Fuller Toppings of Dallas and J. C. Toppings of Sherman.
