Scott William Goforth, Sr. 79, of Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby. He was born on August 30, 1941 in Cherokee County, SC to the late John Freeman Goforth and the late Rosa Lee Woods Goforth.

Funeral services for Mr. Goforth will be private. He can be viewed from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 PM until 3:30 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel on Saturday. Burial will take place at Bethlehem Temple Church Cemetery.
