Herman W. Schuetz, 85, died at 5:05 a.m. May 4, 1989 at St. Antony's Hospital in Alton.
Born in Plainview, he was a son of the late John and Ella Crays Schuetz. Before retiring in 1969, Schuetz was a shotshell loader at Olin Corporation, in East Alton.
On February 27, 1932, in Fidelity, he married the former Sadie Perrine, and she survives.
Three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held from first Assembly of God Church in Brighton on Saturday, May 6, with the Rev. John Harvey and Maurice Burgund officiating. Burial was in Brighton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the church.
