August "Augie" Parilli, Jr., 77, of East Rochester, passed away April 1, 2021 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.

Born September 20, 1943 in Rochester, he was son of the late August Sr. and Christina Feola Parilli.

He was a retired truck driver with Morgan Trucking, Pittsburgh, a member of St. Cecilia R.C. Church, Our Lady of the Valley Parish, a member of the Rochester Turners, the Rochester VFW Post 128, and a United States Army Veteran in the Vietnam War with the Airborne Division.

He is survived by one sister, Martha A. Edge, Baden; four nephews, John Parilli, Rochester, Bob Edge, and his wife, Mary, Ponte Vedra, Florida, Dennis Edge, and his wife, Kathy, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Mark Edge, and his wife, Penny, Denver, Colorado.

He was preceded by two brothers, Frank A. Parilli, and Vito "Babe" Parilli; a brother in law, George A. Edge; and a sister in law, Betty Parilli Baldwin.

Augie's wishes were to have no viewing, but friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Cecilia R.C. Church, Rochester Twp. Interment will be in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies. With the Covid concerns, face masks and social distancing are required.

The Vietnam Honor Guard will provide full Military Honors at the church for their fallen comrade.

Arrangements are being handled by the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester.
